Parma University Professor and founder of RFID Lab Antonio Rizzi is honored with the prestigious AIM Ted Williams Industry Award 2025.
A crucial achievement and recognition of Rizzi’s significant research and pioneering role in shaping the industry, pushing the boundaries of technology and inspiring professionals and stakeholders worldwide.
Named in honor of Ted Williams, an industry innovator, “the award was introduced in 2007 and is presented annually to a professor or student in recognition of innovative and exceptional contributions to the development of the Automatic Identification and Mobility industry that can further the growth of the industry through their work as a teacher, researcher or entrepreneur” (https://www.aimglobal.org/awards/)
In expressing his gratitude to the entire AIM Global team, Prof. Rizzi underlined that the award reflects the teamwork of all RFID Lab members: “I want to dedicate this achievement to the fantastic team at the RFID Lab at the University of Parma, a group of extraordinary researchers with whom I have the privilege of collaborating every day. Their passion and expertise are at the heart of this success”. The professor also emphasizes his gratitude to the university spin-off and RFID Lab alliance partner Murata ID Solutions for the ongoing support of the lab’s research, teaching and technology transfer activities.
The award was presented to Prof. Rizzi in Bologna on Friday October 10th by Frithjof Walk, President of AIM Germany.
